Pricing For Flatbeds

Need helping finding the best rate?  When deciding on the carrier that’s going to be hauling your goods you want to work with reliability and experience that is worth your money in the first place.

Heavy weight product usually will cost more which is directly due to the increasing costs for fuel for the carrier.

Routing will also be a determining factor for the rate.  More miles will cost more fuel consumption.

  • West coast rates are usually $2.75 per mile
  • Midwest Rates are $3.20 per mile
  • Southeast Rates are $3.49

Flatbed Sizes and Weight Caps

  • Max cargo capacity weight – 48,000 lbs
  • Max length of trailer 53 ft
  • Max width is 8.5 ft
  • Max cargo height is 8.5 ft

Loads being loaded use forklifts, loading docks, or cranes.  Drivers and customers prefer shipping where there are docks for convenience / speed / proper care during loading.

Tarps are a the most common accessorial.  Can be an extra charge but working with the right people, it shouldn’t.
