You should not ship LTL if and when

Perishable

Hazmat

Oddly Shaped

Very Valuable

This is a complex topic.  It’s possible and we have shipped LTL for produce and other perishables.  We never however recommend it.

Hazardous materials shouldn’t be sent as LTL either.  We’re really good at what we’re really good at and being a scientist – is not it.  We take 0 chances with LTL hazmat freight.

If you’re shipping something very oddly shaped.  For example an exhibit art piece.

Or oddly shaped glass furniture.

Majority of trucking companies carry only 100k in cargo insurance.

It would be cheaper to send as FTL.  Feel free to call if you’re curious as to why.
